TO BE A BEAST
The dog Knopka manipulates her environment with a saucy mixture of charming weakness and suggested naivete.
Despite epilepsy and afflictions related to old age, she gets herself what she wants, makes countless acquaintances and builds intimate friendships with quadrupeds and bipeds.
In the great race for unconditional love, she has long since outdistanced her mistress with abilities for influence hidden within fluffy cuteness.
Thus, Lena Matrosova suddenly finds herself in the middle of an unplanned compensatory work: a documentary about this beast, an interdependency and a win-win situation.
With oblique perspectives of unconstrained fleetingness and grotesque proximity, the photographer develops unusual points of view in the field of dog photography.
